SECOND CRASH TEST

Undeterred, I put my thinking cap on and go to bed where my applicants receive such inspiration. I'm going to be creating a documentary so I'll talk to the camera crew I have in mind and the director. No joy, down to me again as the producer. Ok, think, what's the fist rule of business, don't do nothing, and the second do it with people who believe in the same goals... Don't currently know of any of those .. So where to get a team of people who are enthusiastic , open for a challenge, creative and want fame and fortune. I consult my erstwhile long suffering unpaid assistant from time to time Brett. StarNow he says, there's people who want some of those things.
It's an idea but I want people who want success really, not who just say they want success and want you to give it to them in a box with a basic. Real go getters who are full of positive energy and open minds, ready to try new things and go against the flow. Does that kind of person really exist?

Ok, so I devise an exercise specifically to find people who won't waste my time telling me what I want to hear, nor moaning about everything and telling me what I don't want to hear. It's going to have to be a bit brutal with no guarantees of success.

I had another plan based around the coaching skills and course I ran for executives. Some years ago I tested the water with training business coaches, so I adapt the coaching course to combine Personal and Business development programs I had created, that involve the three powers that you need to combine to allow you to to start to influence the universe, to give you what you want, (you may know the Secret and the law of attraction). The trouble with these works, is whilst they lead you to adopting a more positive attitude, most people become disillusioned with the results over time. Let's say the universe listens to you and gives you what you want, one day handbags, the next, shoes, the next a new boss, a car , a gin and tonic, it's not surprising that a lack of constant focus cases a lack of result. One of the hardest things,  is to undo the negative conditioning and random unfocused thinking we do and really train your mind to create and achieve.

As I mentioned, I've made a career out of guiding people to success, but that was for people who usually paid me a reasonable fee for doing so, CEO's who could afford it as a series of five sessions with me is £1500 and a mentored course 3-5000.

So I had to adapt all the information I have on the three powers of influence ( over yourself and others) self belief ( in yourself and the confidence to take action)and understanding ( what influences you from within and without) condense it and make a product that is based around a book that  still retains the power of my exec courses, as well as an inherent structure to give the reader a method to actually apply the knowledge and make money. Well there's a thing.

All too often, I've been to seminars like Paul NLP that build up the audience with enthusiasm, but no organised substance or methodology to take it further, no reward or business structure other than 'come and pay me and I'll enthuse you some more.' It's legalised drugs .. Endorphins that they sell, and the more you go the more you want that good old high again. I remember at a Paul NLP seminar where people were asking me what was going on when somebody had ducked off to sell his tapes on QVC after we paid £1000. I think I knew what was going on, especially when I heard Paul say the greatest sales line I have ever heard.
'you may not understand what we are telling you, but we have planted in your subconscious mind resources that you may not know are there, but at a time  and a place in 6 days , 6 weeks or 6 months when you need them they will be there.'

Whatever happened, I never found mine.

My focus has always been giving people the tools to be a success. Buying a book on success is not quite as good as doing a course to change your mental approach, which again is not as good as having a method built in to use the information to achieve. So that's the product I decided to see if average people whatever their background or experience, would actually come on board with. I also relaxed my rules about disclosure so I would at least explain the underlying documentary. Whatever happened, I would still gain valuable material and feed back about success and what holds people back, as ultimately to get the show put forward  for Channel four or the like, we need background material. Success breeds success and without other people you go no where.

Here's the ad
CRASH TEST DUMMIES REQUIRED
DO YOU WANT SUCCESS OR WILL YOU CRASH OUT
Do you want to be rich and successful, do you think you can learn how to adopt 'advanced mental thinking' to get there! We are looking people for a preliminary experimental research project for a TV documentary to see if people can adopt a mental approach that attracts money and success  into their lives. Background or education is unimportant although you will be required to have good reading and verbal skills. We are looking to see if people can enhance their confidence and communication abilities and well as attract money and opportunity by conditioning the mind for success and testing the law of attraction. We aim to see if money and success is down to luck, intelligence, courage or something more.

The project has a potentially high profit element for participants who don't crash out. The more success you have the more money you will attract, so how much you make will depend on how attractive you become  for money to live with and success to like. So if your not rich or successful now ask yourself why, is it you, lack of opportunity or just bad luck and then ask yourself what you would do to get what you want....don't just dream about success, think it into reality,  prove to the world you are a star and your worth every penny. You have to believe in yourself first to take part.

For most people life is like a crash test dummy, out of control, no brakes and now way of knowing when your going to hit the wall.

The first choice  is to apply or crash out now, for you the experiment has already started.

"To be a CT dummy or not to be a CT dummy, that is the question"
William Shakespeare 1616

The net is caste and I wait for the fish. Over ten days we have 1000 ad views, with 90 applications. Ok now to weed out the wannabes applying for everything. Heres the response:

Thank you for your application and interest in Crash Test Dummies.

As we explained in the advert on Star Now, we are conducting pre production documentary  research into the power of the mind to adopt thought patterns and skills, that can have a demonstrable affect on how much success and wealth is achieved by the  individuals who participate.

Our research has shown whilst most people say they would like wealth and success, many do not take the required action to achieve their stated goals, based on subconscious conditioning undermining their behaviour. On average 90% of people do not take opportunity when presented with it, a statistic born out by not only the Star Now response of 1000 views to 94 applications, but also other advertising we have run nationally for this project.

Therefore, you are to be congratulated on representing the 10% of the population more likely to achieve success. This however is just the start and in no way forms any guarantee  of success. The conscious reasons you applied may have been from a genuine interest in the power of the mind, a casual liking for the idea or indeed a blanket approach to applying for everything, either way, all who viewed had the same choice as you, but the difference  was a subconscious direction away or towards our program.

Ultimately your approach to life is going to determine just how much success or wealth you achieve. Many people fear failure and resent wealth and in so doing alienate both entities from entering their lives. There is also the ability of the individual to influence their own state, the states of others and potentially what opportunity  the universe  will provide. In essence it is the capability to develop, see and act on opportunity that makes the difference, skills that are unfortunately not taught at school, college or university yet remain the key to success all the entrepreneurs we have modelled retain. This is not luck, but ones attitude to the concept of luck. The question is, how many people given the choice are committed to achieving their goals enough to take affirmative action in their accomplishment, rather than sitting back and waiting for life to cut them what they perceive as their right break to success, a method that is without doubt statistically highly unlikely to work, given the relatively low number of wealthy and successful people in the world.

Now you will need to make another fairly easy  decision which will form part of a series of harder choices that take you further towards success and wealth or crash out. We will be holding the next stage of our process in the London area over the coming week  in Finsbury Square EC2 therefore should you wish to continue please respond by return and we will confirm the details for you within 24 hours. Alternatively if you take this opportunity to crash out of the program, we wish you every success. The choice is yours.

'To be or not to be, a successful crash test dummy, that is the question?'

Fifty  percent, crash out leaving 45 to book. I use the Master Gunner again as Lisa is still happy to let me use the venue, bless her cotton socks. Hopefully, the older average age of 30 will give her some paying customers this time. I know the address might put a few off as a pub is not the ideal venue, but the budget is tight as no money in yet and the venue is set for the day before Valentines day.

The weekend before I'm due to host a sales presentation for a language school franchise for a friend, he cancels because of the weather, things look shaky on shows but fingers crossed.

The day comes, 17 show, Brett doesn't with women's troubles, his not a woman, but he has an awful lot of trouble with them. So now from one thousand pairs of eyes we are down to 17, but out of these I need to find those special few that I can build with. It's a tall order again but who said making a million was easy, the method I have in mind is actually very easy but getting the people to have the mental approach to accept it is going to be a little harder.

The seminar lasts for one hour twenty minutes, with a group of enthusiastic and reserved individuals. The primary question is what do they think of success, money, and manipulation?
Success as usual is based by some firmly away from the money issue, as is fairly typical in these sorts of groups, but funnily enough not when I'm addressing business or executives in seminars. There is undeniably a rejection of money by many of the individuals even though the original add requested people who would like success and to be rich.

Of course success in a relationship I would say beats everything, but having a little money does make life so much easier.

'Money can't buy you love, but it will buy you a car, a boat and a big house which will buy you all the love you want'

I always say I'd rather be rich and depressed than poor and depressed, that is if your going to be depressed anyway. Success for some people is keeping breathing if you really want to get down to it, although in truth we could all be thankful for that, but for the purposes of what I need to get the million, or rather the route to it, I need people who are prepared to accept that they may be not as successful on the financial front possibly because of their current attitude to money.

I ask the question 'How many people think the route to all evil is money?' pretty well a full house. 'Maybe I suggest, if you had more money, you might find more freedom to do the things you want, how would that be? Maybe if you had more money you could do more to help your fellow man or the planet, whatever floats your boat. Maybe it's the behaviour in some people that is really the problem." some concede.

I take it further "maybe by rejecting money in your thought patterns as aligned with evil, you are rejecting it from entering your life." One young man accepts the inconsistency in his mind maybe working against him.

I've got to say things were not looking hopeful as there was a resistance to the subject out of sceptiscm or lack of explanation on the project, but I am confined by my own rules of disclosure. I need to find out who is there for the TV appearance side, and who genuinely wants to search for success, and be rewarded in the financial sense.

So after potentially opening a few minds to the possibility of adopting a new approach I suggest my alternatives to find out who would like to really try and be a success.
1. Listen to classical music
2. Do a 24 week course ( the one that I gave may Exec coaching clients)
3. Go for the big one and do a £100 to £1000000 challenge on the same terms as me all be it following in my footsteps, although they don't know I'm already doing it.

I ask them to think about it over night.

To be honest I wasn't sure who was and wasn't keen as everyone always smiles and says nice things although one young man stepped up to shake my hand, thank me for an inspiring talk and introduce himself, a fellow called Jorge.

So I left, with my thinking cap again firmly on my head to see how I could move further forward.

"If you find Money you are rich, if you find health you are fortunate, if you find love you are blessed with all the riches and fortune life can offer" My Epitaph.

FIRST BASH (CRASH) AT RIDING THE MONEY TRAIN

Now,  I'm not a woman, but for some reason I can multiple task like the best of them, so I set about working out how I would make a million in one year. Funnily I immediately had a clear cut plan on how you could get to a million, but the issue was always going to be people, you see the problem with any business is like a triangle. You've got product, you've got a Market, but what going to let you down is people. Why, well it's back to the same old reason why most of the population aren't rich, they find 1000 and one reasons not to be, and a rich person finds an infinate number of reasons to be. But, armed with this information and foresight I completely ignored it and decided that humanity had changed it's shoes overnight and would take up the mantle of success. After all, I would like to help the majority to success in this exercise, which having worked with the minority who had no other focus for most of my life, I set about seeing if I could. Now the rules of this exercise to start with was that I couldn't directly tell anyone what the project involved, till I made money. I had to inspire them with a business that would ultimately lead to my goal, so what more inspirational than change the worlds problems and make money.

So I converted my personal website into my own publishing company promoting the three books that I chose to get published on demand which you can do for free if you choose through Lulu.com So from my £35 budget I advertised on the Gumtree for assistants to help me with the sales and makarketing of the books. The response was ok, so I decide with the assistance of a very lovely and curtios manager of the Master Gunner Tavern Finsbury Sq, Lisa,( mention me if you go in, the food is good as well as the service) to hold a recruitment event in their function room on the basis it might bring paying customers into the pub. Remember, I only have £65 of my budget left so paying foR a function room was out of the question.

On a cold evening in January, 17 people turned up and I proceed to unveil my plan. Basically in the publishing world there are up to six pairs of hands between writer and reader: agent, publisher, printer, distributer, wholesaler, retailer. So if I took all those people out and gave my recruits all the money for sales and marketing they shouldn't do too bad with up to 75% of the book purchase. One book indeed was my method to change the world, which gave the purchaser the ability to have their own thoughts published for free in every revised copy and a commission for recommending the book. Yes a little MLM program that people hate because they don't really understand it,  distribution chains do because it takes their business, and the government hates because they are the biggest pyramid scheme of the lot. Never been in MLM myself, but everybody I've ever met who has was always pretty happy. Yes I know there's bad publicity, but tell me an industry that hasn't, and if you want to find liars and cheats rather than ordinary people go into politics. Anyway, I've seen how the world moves and its not all as it may seem, but for my project, you bought a book, if you liked it, and if you recommended it you get a commission, or a thank you, and every time a book was sold because of you original recommendation you got paid a £1 x 6 level. To the uninitiated, that means if you recommended the book and ten people bought it, and the same thing  happened six times you'd make a million, as well as having your words in print.

Ok whats the down side, you get a book with your words published for eternity in a book about having the last words in eternity.

My out of work young audience would be paid £10 of the £20 price of each book to sell it and the next £6 MLM over ride. Well for those of you who hate MLM for you own reasons you'll hate me for suggesting it, but I think it's a fair deal, especially as the balance if the purchase price is the cost of production. So to you I say I constructed a method not about me, making loads of money,  but about others within the rules I set out for the project so people could follow to the million.

So what did they have to do, market book seminars once a week which would explain to anyone who wanted to know, how you could get you're own book published for free, I would do the rest by holding the seminar and explaining the self publishing exercise and selling a few of my books. They did the marketing, went out for a social once a week and chatted to people about the project. That's it. And I offered them all a job, as 90% said they were on Facebook up to 3 hours a day, so marketing would be easy, and they only had to come to work for the seminar and get paid once a week.  Well needles to say, if they had brought a rope I would have been lynched, and some of you might say rightly so, offering those poor defenceless young people the corruption of your sick and depraved mind. Couldn't you just leave them in bed where they said they would have been, rather than wasting their important time listing to me.
Well here's a list of the negatives, and I will take some responsibility for letting the whole thing turn into a witch hunt for MLM form people who clearly had no experience or knowledge on the subject but hear say and what they've read on the internet. And before you say anything for every MLM program that's gone bad, theres hundreds that survive and prosper  including Alan Sugar, Donald Trump, and most every affiliate or networking program you see on the internet.

But public opinion lead the way on this one and with my applicants it went like this...

All the people on the bottom loose out when no more people are interested... What people on the bottom, there's only 6 billion in the world and I'm always writing new books.
If we all had a million the world would come to an end... well that's a good reason to stay poor and ban The Apprentice from TV.
Nobody reads hard books anymore, it's all Internet based. ... Tell that to Waterstones and Amazon... And why do you what a job in publishing  then?
Can't you bring the people to the seminar .... Well it was a marketing job so what would you be doing?
Couldn't you pay us all a basic... No I'm not that rich and seventeen people lying in bed all day waiting for me to do the job I'm recruiting you for doesn't  seem that attractive.
Why would someone buy a book?... Because you sold it's benefits.
I don't like selling or salespeople...this is a sales job, I'm sorry we are all selling something to someone, not always for money, and we all buy it in the end.
So I get 75% of the book price of £20, which is £15 can't we sell it for £10 and get the same commission? ...No, I'm sorry.
I don't like books... Sorry this is a publishing interview
I don't like people making money .... So why do you want me to pay you?
I think the exchange rate in Africa would not make a million the same way as the UK .... I've got a headache and I want to go home now children.
I'd rather stay in bed...so would I.

So out of 17 young enthusiastic hopefuls, I have to say, back to the drawing board and writing FatMan, it's safer in my illogical surreal fictional world.

"I made a lot of money in pyramid selling, but that was three thousand years ago, and the bottom fell out of that one"

SECOND MISTRESS

Ok, when I first thought of this idea was after a dinner table conversation over whether it was possible for one person to change the world economically and socially, and I don't mean Hitler style. It was an interesting concept that intrigued my mind as to wether I could come up with a solution that would work, albeit as usual it would only be people that would not allow it to happen out of whatever reason you can decide for yourself. I came up with an idea and created the method, but that's as far as it went. But I defy anyone to tell my why the method wouldn't work and for £20 I think it's worth a punt to potentially give everybody food, a roof over their head and power, but funnily enough everybody rejects it because... Is just too easy maybe, but all the best things are simple.

As far as making a million though, I thought that would be a good idea for a documentary, so with some experience of making corporate videos and marketing campaigns, I contacted a few production companies who liked the idea, but wanted a lot more development to take it further, as getting your head around the possibility of achieving a million is not easy, as we know it's a hard task .

Undaunted, I shelved the project to finish my books I had in mind ready for this year, and then to do that one most important thing  essential in all business, take action. So in November I finished FatMan to submit to someone who knows someone in Hollywood so keep your fingers crossed ,  The Rise of the Fatties. Heres the synopsis:

Set in a parallel universe, the world has exhausted it's natural resources, leaving humans as the producers of all power and food needs through their excretions. The ruling elite Fatist party have brain washed the population into believing that fat is sexy and made it law for people to become as big as possible, supported by criminal underworld gangs and corruption. Food is purely reconstituted human waste material with no nutrients other than chemical additives to increase waste production.

Through a sequence of un related events, a young fat boy is accidentally exposed to a chemical accelerant that increases his body density 1000 times. A chance meeting with the worlds most beautiful women leads him into a journey of love, fantasy and personal exploration, that finally culminates with the demise of the Fatist regime and his development as the superhero savour of the world.. FatMan

Whilst the humour is sometimes grotesque, slapstick, politically & religiously incorrect, sexual, rude and satirical, the ultimate message is one of power, hope and exaggerated stupidity that we see in everyday life. A must for anyone on a diet.

Nothing back yet, but who knows. Then came January the first, I was stuck between two mistresses, which actually isn't that bad. I wanted to do 1H1Y1M, but another FatMan had popped into my head that I just had to get out, as you do. So both I did. FatMan I started writing not as a short story/ script as the first, but a full novel. So here's the synopsis on that one:

Ten years on and FatMan is out of sorts with society, love and life. The world has turned from a super sized society, into worshiping diet, health and fitness, rendering FatMan ever more isolated from his wife, friends and family, losing sight of faith, and the true meaning of life.

Through an unexpected mission for the universal creator FatMan is plunged into a world of danger, temptation and sex, to fight a hidden evil that threatens to take over the world. His journey takes him, through a series of revealing close encounters with historical figures, forcing FatMan to reevaluate love, and his  ignorance to the true nature of those who mean most to him.

Fundamentally a dark comedy, the second book in the series moves the humour into a more adult form, whilst retaining the politically incorrect satirical nature of the first, the  story takes a surreal  look at the meaning of life, history, religion, love and relationships, twisting well known stereotypes into another alternative reality that is weirdly close to our own.

MILLION DOLLAR MAN - THE ORIGINS

One Hundred  One Million One year
 Thats my challenge for 2012

Why, well one million is as good a reason as any, but also I just wanted to do something different. The last year or two actually, I'd spent writing books with a view to getting them published someday. Fiction, humour, personal development, business development were my subject matter, but this time I fancied writing something that was a little more real, something I could blog potentially into another book, make a documentary about that has some degree of interaction.

New Year 2012 turned with my savings completely depleted after writing with no income. The prospect of finding a literary agent or publisher immediately didn't look good, as the submissions process was to say the least problematic with the chances of any of my manuscripts landing up under the right nose very slim, more likely in the bin. JK Rowling wrote to two agents, to be picked up by the second only because the office manager pulled her first three chapters out of the bin.

I'm not a JK Rowling, wrong sex to start with, and as Im dyslexic writing with all the bits people love to pick out...errors... is very onerous (I apologise in advance to those people who only see the errors in my writing rather than read the actual point of the words I try to string into coherent sentences), but nothing ventured nothing gained. You see the problem is unless you're a known author, you're a risk as you have no Market. And with current technology creating digital books, understandably publishers are more focused on a sure thing than ever before, than taking a risk on an unknown author. But, whatever the hurdles, you just have to keep going, even when your a hopeless dyslexic trying to write books. Maybe that's the reason I keep going on with what I do, I just can't see the error in my ways and every idea looks perfect. I worked consulting in a dyslexia organisation for a period (there's an example of the inmate running the asylum) and it's amazing how a disadvantage in one area, leads to massive advantages in others. For example many entrepreneurs are dyslexic; growing up with a constant need to find ways around the problem to keep up with those who don't, gives you the added advantage that your good at seeing angles, overcoming hurdles and continue to want to win. Obviously these are generalised observations, but it is strange how some top achievers success can be traced back to bad spelling and gramma, so Im thankful for mine.

Talking of ideas, let's get back to 1H1Y1M. It's a project I've had in the back of my mind for a while. It's not an easy ask and that's why I like it, and maybe it's impossible, I'll tell you that at the end of the year but it will be fun trying. So what makes me qualified to ever think it's possible? Well I don't think there is a specific college course that covers it, maybe entrepreneurialism, self belief and some creative instinct. On those three I guess I have a little more than the average person, but no more than anyone could have if they wanted to. You see, I've always been of the firm belief that you are responsible for your own world in the way you think and approach life, and what you give out you attract, the law off attraction if you like. During my career I've been fortunate to work with a range of entrepreneurs and rogues who for one reason or another made money. One made over 70 million in drugs, but he is now in Rugby prison, so not the best way. Another made millions in organised fraud with luxury cars, but then spent 3 years at her majesties pleasure, only to come out and make forty million pound property portfolio legally, then to loose the lot again with the crash. Another, on the other hand, put together the most successful UK property club in the boom and turned over a billion in six years, which is not bad going from scratch, and now lives in Switzerland.

There are reasons for why people succeed, consistency is a start, communication skills another, contacts would be useful, and of course a good slice of confidence. Luck is an ingredient in the cake of success you should never underestimate, but the next question is do you make your own luck or attract misfortune? Many people have sought the key to success and wealth through modelling others, Napoleon Hill for example, but the majority of time from my own observation, why an individual elevated him or herself from the majority, was a confluence of unique events that were unrepeatable. Also the right team at the right time was a primary key. By no means finally, the ability to take risks and decisions and go potentially where no man has gone before, even though everybody else says you're wrong.

So as you may appreciate, I've looked into the science of getting rich and success based thought patterns quite deeply, and before you run off saying I'm fixed on money and greed, I'll say to you your completely wrong. My life has for the majority of time been spent taking choices that actually led away from money, I guarantee you more than anyone you know, although I made considerable sums, these were not for the reasons of obtaining more of the crinkly stuff, but out of the pain of rejection. You see why people do things isn't as simple as most people might think and for the majority they will say first and not even think later. So that brings me onto what stops everybody going out there and making money and why is making a million so difficult? Firstly, most of us are conditioned to reject money coming into our lives, me included. Secondly, many people resent the idea of other people having success over them. You might not like the facts, but facts they are, and as we will undoubtedly see the reasons this challenge may fail are because of my negative subconscious conditioning, and those I encounter along the way.

As a business and personal consultant I wrote a couple of supportive works called Money, Power, Sex(sorry there is no sex in it) to give to my clients so they had a point of reference for the conversations we entered into, as well as 24 week course they might wish to take. Primarily I've focused on my knowledge of my negative conditioning to unravel others so they can be released from the thought patterns that held them back. The program focused around the power of self belief, the power of understanding, and the power of influence. So as you can see, I do have little background in the subject. But I never wanted to be a teacher per-say, so I've always been in the thick of the entrepreneurial action by choice.

So with this little task, the brief is simple, to take £100 and make it £1,000,000 in one year working within some strict guidelines I've set out for myself. The main one being to make the method accessible to anyone following on right behind rather than a one off luck coincidence that never happens again.

So other than the £100, what do I have at my disposal. I'm physically fit at the moment, other than a large spot on my nose and a dicky back sometimes. I could do with some Botox, the dentist and some other problems I'm not going to tell you about right now. I'm living in London and my rent is paid up till April.
I'm free to make my own decisions, not a slave to society or anyone else for that matter, and I write profusely, an ability I've developed only over the last few years, as prior to that it took me ten years to put a few pages together. What else is there, well over the years I've developed the ability to believe that I can do anything, but that's no different to anybody else if they wanted that skill. Now that doesn't mean I want to climb Everest, as I don't like the cold, and I'm not much into sky diving to show I can defy gravity, but gravity is definitely having an effect on my face these days.

Let me give you an example, about twelve years ago, a client said he would like to be able to draw but couldn't for whatever reason he thought. I did take an A level in art but failed with an E, and hadn't picked up a crayon or pencil for 30 years. So to prove a point, I rattled of a few drawings over a couple of weeks to show him how, if you want to, you can achieve anything you want, even fine art, the results are here so see what you think. He took up painting (not decorating) and produced some very nice work.

Now the point to this is for you to appreciate that it's just you that tells you what you can and can't do, and this is based on your conditioning... what you expect from yourself due to a number of influences that formed way back when and reinforced across your life. You'll feel your conditioning coming in when you feel regret for example, I won't go into the details but subconscious conditioning drives our actions in ways it's very difficult to realise, I'm writing this which is meaning one thing to my conditioning, and is potentially being received through the filter of your conditioning as a different message altogether. That is the problem with life, knowing yourself and knowing others, rather than putting up with and assuming conclusions... I'm this, or I'm that, I can't do this, so that means there's no way you can either!!
